Broadway Hearts
‘One of the great joys of being a part of a Broadway show, is knowing the heart soaring escape that it might allow our audience members to have for the time they’re sitting in our darkened theater. Periodically we have Make-A-Wish kids come to see the show. These performances have always been a highlight for me, personally, to stay after the show, to meet the child and their family. After one too many a child having to cancel their visit, I settled upon the idea of bringing Broadway performers to children treatment.
After gathering some like-minded performers from Phantom and a few other Broadway shows, I started calling hospitals around the area, asking if we might come in and sing with the children. And so, Broadway Hearts was born.
In 2018 we became a 501(c)(3), growing from just seven volunteers to over a hundred, and representing nearly every show on Broadway. We’ve expanded from visiting one hospital in NYC to visiting multiple hospitals nationwide and are increasing our reach every day, and our programming and offerings are growing all the time.
Broadway Hearts grew out of a hope to make a difference in a child’s life, through the healing power of music, song and laughter. It's become a great passion in my own life and I feel very fortunate to be seeing this mission forward with these wonderful friends and colleagues by my side.

Broadway Hearts is entirely the work of volunteers. Our members include artists (stars!) from such elite productions and companies as The Phantom of the Opera, Mean Girls, Hamilton, Carousel, West Side Story, Come From Away, Legally Blonde, Cinderella, The Lion King, Frozen, Sesame Street, American Ballet Theatre, Cats, Head Over Heels, On The Town, Some Like It Hot, Bat Out Of Hell, Into The Woods, Aladdin, Company, Fiddler on the Roof, An American in Paris, Sweeney Todd, Wicked, The Book of Mormon, Cinderella,, The Rockettes and Les Miserables.
And our performers have been nominated for numerous industry awards such as Tony Awards, Drama Desk Awards, Olivier Awards and Golden Globes.
